Checking voicemail from offsite
Messages can be checked from any phone. Dial your number, wait till your greeting starts, and press *.
Turning on voicemail to email
This system allows several options for receiving voicemails. You can have email notifications sent to your inbox. These emails can have links to the files or attachments of the files. The commands listed in the table below toggle the functions on or off.
Be aware, however, that sound files could fill up your inbox and cause you to exceed your space quota if the messages are not deleted regularly. Deleting sound files from your inbox does not delete them from your voicemail’s storage.
In order to turn on voicemail to email pick up your phone receiver and dial 8-5002. Additional Voicemail to Email Commands are listed below

| 85002 |
Turns email notification on or off |
| 85003 |
Turns links in email on or off |
| 85004 |

Please be sure to plug your telephone into the data jack that you were using for your computer and then plug your computer into the port at the back of your phone labeled “10/100 PC.”

Soft Phone Information
- Voicemail sound files sent to your email
- One number for your entire college career
- Simulring means calls can be forwarded to several other phones so you never miss a call
- You can manage and see who voicemails are from before listening
- No charges are applied unless calls are made off campus
- Off-campus calls are $.03/min for local and $.07/min for domestic long distance numbers
Voicemail Options
You have the ability to turn on email notifications or disable them. Simply toggle on your email address, or the word OFF to disable. Furthermore you can choose to include the sound files in the message, or turn that functionality off and check the messages through the softphone portal, or using the phone itself.
Softphone Simulring Options
You have the ability to add on additional phone numbers that will ring when people call your personal softphone number. This simul-ring functionality allows you to be reachable anywhere. (Please note, answering a call that is simulringing using a cell phone or another device will count against the device's minutes).
Softphone Ring Seconds Options
By default your softphone voicemail will pick up after 20 seconds of ringing. This setting may need to be adjusted depending upon the number of devices you are choosing to simulring, as well as their associated voicemail pickup settings. If you wish to have all voicemail routed to your softphone voicemail box then you may wish to set the simulring volume to a second value that will ensure the softphone voicemail picks up before your cellphone voicemail does.
Checking voicemail
To check your voicemail from any phone, dial your softphone number and when the voicemail picks up, press the * button and enter in your password.
