| Problem accessing software via Server Services or PC Labs | ||

- Server Services experienced a problem with Keyserv, the server that handouts licenses for software running on the servers. The problem has been resolved. |

| Web Server outage | ||
|
Apr 26 2001 - One of our two web servers went down about 10:30am. We re-pointed all web traffic at the good server while we fixed the bad one. Both servers were back by the afternoon. Because browsers cache IP addresses, half the people who had already accessed www.uic.edu at that time would experience the outage until they restarted the browser, or until the second server was brought back up. |
