Apr 20 2002 - mailserv will be down for maintenance from 7:00 PM Saturday 4/20 to 2:00 AM Sunday. During the outage, any attempt to access a mailbox on mailserv (e.g. through Eudora) will fail, and mailserv will not accept email. As usual, mailbox contents will be preserved and email destined for mailserv will be queued. |

| ADSM down much of the midday Wednesday, April 10 | ||
|
Apr 10 2002 - The ADSM backup server will be down much of the mid-day today for a software upgrade. This is to update the server software from Version 3.1 to version 4.2.1. The exact start time will depend on when a full backup of ADSM's database, presently underway, completes. If this looks like it will go beyond mid-afternoon, we will post additional information. We hope to gain better performance, as well as support for additional client platforms, from this new version. Note: If you use the ADSM scheduler to run regular backups of your oncampus personal computer, be sure to check when you leave tonight and restart the scheduler if it's not running. As of this update, the server's name will change from ADSM to Tivoli Storage Manager, however we plan to retain the name ADSM, with a new meaning, "ACCC Data Storage Manager".
