Oct 31 2003 - mailserv will be down Friday morning, October 31, from midnight to 3:00 A.M. for emergency disk maintenance. |

| Network Slow | ||

Oct 30 2003 - We are currently running the network on limited resources which is causing it to be slow. One of our Internet Service Providers (ISP), ICN is working on repairing part of their equipment. As a result, we are operating only through the other ISP. |

| Network outage resolved | ||
|
Oct 29 2003 - The network outage that started at approximately 3pm and lasted through 7pm was the result of a major denial of service attack against UIC and took us several hours to resolve through our ISP's. Currently, service has been restored. During this attack there was no loss of connectivity with Urbana. |

| ACCC Experiencing Network Troubles | ||

Oct 29 2003 - ACCC is experiencing problems with one of our border routers. Causing problems connecting outside UIC. We are attempting a reload to clear up the problem. |

| Blackboard upgrade downtime | ||

Oct 26 2003 - The Blackboard system will be upgraded on Sunday morning (10/26) to version 6.0.11, the latest version, which will fix various problems, among them the student grade view issues. The system will be down for approximately two hours, starting at 8am. |

| Brief Internet outage scheduled for Monday, Oct 27 at 7am. | ||

Oct 24 2003 - The University's Internet connection will have a brief outage on Monday morning at 7am when our border router undergoes a reload to update its code. The outage will last no more than 15 minutes, and will most likely last around 5 minutes. Traffic to UIUC will be unaffected. Oct 20 2003 - Oct 29 2003 - As of 7pm, the network problems have been resolved. We are currently routing all traffic through our Level 3 ISP. Network traffic levels should be back to normal. |

- ACCC's main ISP Level3 is having problems on their network. We have defaulted all our network traffic to ICN,our other ISP. We are now seeing normal network traffic flows. |

Oct 10 2003 - The RealServer needs to be taken down for some urgent system maintenance at 3:15pm today, Friday 10/10/03. It will be back up later tonight. |
