Jun 26 2004 - The ACCC RealMedia Server will be down Sunday morning 6/27 from 8am until 2pm for system reconfiguration.

Jun 16 2004 - We experienced problems after applying security patches to the RealMedia server. We expect to have the server up at roughly 2pm. We regret any inconveniences caused by this outage.

Jun 16 2004 - minos, the machine running the RealNetworks Helix Streaming Server, will be down on Wednesday morning for necessary operating system upgrades. This is happening during the scheduled maintenance period for ITL services, each Wednesday morning 5am-9am, during which time our services may be taken down without advance warning.

Jun 13 2004 - An urgent hardware replacement necessitates server downtime from 9am until 11am on Sunday 6/13/04.

Jun 11 2004 - Mailstore service is restored (for the 800 out of about 10,000 that were affected.) We believe a hardware error caused software for file replication to fail, and the replication software would not recover. (The data itself was never at risk. We still have tape backups, and the disks themselves use RAID for extra protection. The replication in this case is a third backup method, because we like to be really, truly, sure.)

We believe no mail was lost. Of course, incoming mail was waiting in queues on other machines, and it will take some time for those queues to be delivered, but your new mail will be flowing now.

The same disks affected UICal. Although the disks are now working, we need to run some calendar database checks to make sure nothing was corrupted, so that will take another hour or two.

Jun 11 2004 - We are experiencing hardware problems with a file server that is used by mailserv and uicalendar. We're looking into it now.
