About ACCC Workshops

The Academic Computing and Communications Center conducts short workshops on a variety of different topics. All workshops are free of charge to UIC faculty, staff, and students.

Hands-on workshops will be conducted in PC labs SCE 408 (East Campus) and BGRC 105B (West Campus). Room SCE 408 is on the east campus, on the 4th floor of the Student Center East (student union), on the east campus. Room SCE 408 is the PC lab behind the elevator banks. BGRC 105B is on the west campus, in the Benjamin Goldberg Research Center (BGRC) at 1940 West Taylor Street (northeast corner of Taylor & Damen). Room SCE 105B is on the first floor, the PC lab behind the front computer lab as you come into the building.

Online Training through Lynda.com

FREE online training tutorials with Lynda.com! The Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) is expanding and enhancing its computer training workshops program by licensing the entire library of the lynda.com online training tutorials, campus-wide, on a yearly basis. Access is available today to all UIC students, faculty and staff and titles are broken down into manageable segments to accommodate busy schedules. These video based tutorials are taught by industry experts and available 24/7 for convenient, self-paced learning.
