Lotus Domino/Notes @ UIC
Client Setup

 

Find the Lotus Notes icon and click on it (click on Start/Applications/Lotus Applications/Lotus Notes). You will need the ID file and password that have provided .

1)

2) Select the location of your id file.

 

3) Enter the password that was provided to you

 

4) Select the name of the server and the type of connection. Unless you know otherwise the name of the server is notes1.cc.uic.edu and the type of connection is TCP/IP

5) Select CST and click on Observe Daylight Savings Time

7) After setup, the Notes desktop looks like this, each icon below represents a database. You may move, add or delete databases from the desktop as needed. Two important databases are the first one on the left, which represents your notes mail and second one which is the UIC name and address book. Everyone at UIC with a notes account is listed in here.
