- To start your modem/telephone connection to UIC, click on the
Apple in the upper left hand corner of your screen.
- Select Control Panels from the menu, and select the
PPP control panel.
- Enter your netid (e.g., jsmith7) in the Name field and
enter your password in the password field.
- Then click on the Connect button to make the
connection. After the connection has been established, you can use
any of the network applications.
- To disconnect, open the PPP control panel again and
click on Disconnect.
