Entering and Editing Records in a Table

Once you are ready to enter data into your table, Access will help you maintain the integrity of the records. When you enter or edit a record, you have the ability to back out of any changes that you make, PROVIDED YOU REMAIN ON THE RECORD. Once you move to another record, the computer re-saves the entire database, making any changes permanent. (After all, you wouldn't want to enter 600 records and then lose them on a computer crash.) There are several ways to enter and edit records, including some keyboard shortcuts. In this section, we will discuss the following items.
