Installing the modem

First, we will check if the modem is already installed:

• Click on the Start button in the lower left corner.
• Go to Settings.
• Single click on Control Panel.

  

• Click on Modems

  

• If is it blank

  
  We need to install one. If your modem appears on this screen follow the steps below, otherwise skip to the next section

• Click on the Add

  

• Click on Next
• Windows will proceed to try to detect a modem. You will get one or more of the following screens

  

• If the modem was found, you will see a screen similar to this one

  

• Click on Next. You will need your Windows95 diskettes or CD ROM.
• Enter information requested below and press Next

  

• You are done setting up your modem

  

• Click on Finish. You should see your modem listed now. Click on OK.
