Web Authoring with Macromedia Dreamweaver

Welcome to the seminar. Thanks for coming, whether in person or online.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is the web authoring tool of choice at the Instructional Technology Lab where we have the occasion to use many such tools. Among our reasons for preferring Dreamweaver is its intuitive graphical user interface, its powerful set of tools, its flexibility and extensibility, and its built-in respect for the web author.

This seminar is intended as an overview of what Macromedia Dreamweaver can do and how it can help you in your web authoring. Of course, it is not possible to cover this application in depth in one session, but I hope to at least show you many of the most salient features of Dreamweaver.

Dreamweaver 2 is available in all of the ACCC public labs and is also available from ACCC Server Services. You may also download a fully functional 30 day evaluation version from Macromedia. The educational discount price is $99 from MicroStation, or $88 from Urbana's Micro Order Center, available both for the Mac and Windows platforms.
