Note: There are a thousand ways to customize your Eudora to fit your individual preferences. Most of the time, the default values will serve you fine. After you've set your netid and values for POP and SMTP servers, you're ready to get started. Return to the configuration menu to set options as you become more confident with your e-mail skills.
When you start Eudora for the first time, you will see the menu pictured below (you can later change these settings by going to Tools> Options):
(For example, my netid is tmanni2 and I use tigger, so my "POP account" would be tmanni2@tigger.cc.uic.edu)
POP account: should be set (from Getting Started menu)
Real name: should be set (from Getting Started menu)
Return address: your e-mail address
Dialup username: if you call
in from home, this is your netid only.
|
POP account: should be filled in already |
|
|
|
Check for mail every: (for ADN connections) automatically checks
your e-mail at specified time |
