When you create a spreadsheet, it is often necessary to make decisions based on the data. However, making those decisions based on hundreds of figures may be impractical. Creating a CHART can be an effective method of using your spreadsheet data to make an easily-readable report. Excel assists you through the process of creating a chart with the CHART WIZARD. For a sample, the following data will be used to create a chart:
Before invoking the Chart Wizard, you should select the cells that contain the data for
your chart. This makes it easier for the wizard to show you sample charts. Once you have
selected the cells (A4:E8 in this example), click on the Chart Wizard button.
