Application Basics

Some commands are common across a wide variety of applications. Knowing the basic set of application commands allows you to go a long way when learning any new application.

Each application will generally contain both a File and Edit menu.

Commands found in the File menu are:

• New
• Open
• Close
• Save
• Save As
• Revert
• Page Setup
• Print
• Quit

Commands found in the Edit menu are:

• Cut
• Copy
• Paste
• Clear
• Select All
• Undo
• Show Clipboard
