Browsing the Web with Internet Explorer 4.01

Internet Explorer is the premiere Web browser from Microsoft that is bringing new and innovative Internet technologies right into people's homes. Not only is it an Internet browser, but i t is an integrated package of Internet and Intranet tools. It has many new and exciting features in version 4.01, including the following:

  • Support for Dynamic HTML, as well as Java and ActiveX
  • Autocomplete - remembers what sites you've visited and automatically fills in the URL
  • Explorer Bars whic h make it easy to search the Web, save bookmarks and view a history of what sites you've visited.
  • Customization of all Toolbars, Explorer bars and Link menus.
  • Support for Channel Definition fo rmat
  • Desktop Components, HTML frames that behave similar to the taskbar in that they can be docked to any edge of the screen, popped out as a floating window, or made always-on-top.
  • HTML help files. Replacement for the proprietary .hlp files.
