Pine provides a relatively simple way to read electronic mail on UNIX systems. In this seminar, students learn how to access Pine, list keyboard commands, change their passwords and read messages. This seminar covers the tasks of replying and forwarding messages, creating folders, assigning individuals to a personal address book and using nicknames. Using Pine as a newsreader is also covered.
