The Office 97 package has graphics installed as part of the program, called ClipArt.
These are images, sounds, and videos that can be inserted into a presenation. Usually, you
have to load these as part of the install or have the Office 97 CD present to use them. If
you are in a slide with a ClipArt placeholder, simply double-click on the placeholder.
(There is also a button to insert ClipArt on the Standard Toolbar.
)
This is what the ClipArt screen looks like.
The categories down the left side can vary from computer to computer. You can also add categories of your own by clicking on the Edit Categories button below the list. Selecting a category brings up a specific group of images. Double-click on an image to select it. In this example, we'll choose the map of Illinois from the Maps category.
The process would be the same for adding pictures, sounds, and videos. In the case of the last two, you can double-click on the sound or video clip to play it. Here is a sample of a slide with a video clip.
