When you wish to print your presentations on paper or transparency sheets, it is ALWAYS recommended that you use the lightest colored background possible with dark text. (A moment's thought will tell you why.) Printing in PowerPoint is done the same way as many applications: choosing the Print option from the File menu.
This dialog box is slightly different than the standard print dialog box, especially in
terms of what to print. At the bottom of the screen, users have the ability to print the
slides themselves, handouts with 2, 3, or 6 slides on a page, print a slide with its
notes, or print the outline. It also gives you the option to print out in black and white,
scale the slides to fit the paper, and put a border around slides when they are printed
out. (NOTE: If you want to know what your slides will look like when printed in black and
white, there is a Black and White View button on the toolbar.
