Sometimes, however, people may not know how long each slide should display. PowerPoint
allows you to rehearse the timings. It will run the slide show on manual and begin
recording times. When you are done, it can place those times in the presentation for you.
There is a Rehearse Timings button on the Sorter toolbar.
While running the show, the computer displays a clock at the bottom of the screen showing total elapsed time and current time for a particular slide.
Once you are done, the computer will show you the total time and ask if you want it to be recorded and shown in Slide Sorter view. Here are the new times for the slide show.
Notice all the new times. Slide 3 has a much longer time since there is a lot of text to read.
