Viewing A Presentation

When working in a presentation, there are 5 ways to look at it, each of them with special purposes. There is a series of buttons in the lower-left corner of the screen that allows you to change the view of the presentation.

Slide View shows a single slide on the screen. This is primarily used for inserting graphics and formatting text
Outline View shows an outline of all written text. This is best used for editing.
Slide Sorter View will show all slides of the presentation on the screen. Slide Sorter View is used for rearranging slides and setting up transitions and animations for a slide show.
Notes Pages View allows the user to add separate notes for each slide. These notes can be handed out with the slide or used as notes for the presenter.
Slide Show View begins the slide show from the current slide

In the case of Outline, Slide Sorter, and Notes Pages Views, if you double-click on a slide or its respective icon, the computer will automatically return you to Slide View. Click here to see a presentation switched back and forth between the views. (181K)
