Commonly-used softwareACCC offers a large number of site-licensed software. This includes the Network Services Kit (NSKit), which is a set of basic Internet software targeted for campus/office and home use. Most of these programs are installed and available in the public computer labs, and can also be used over the campus network, via ACCC Server Services. The NSKit includes Netscape Communicator configured with Adobe Acrobat, RealPlayer and QuickTime plugins (for Web browsing), Eudora (for email), Telnet (for remote login) and FTP (for file transfers). The NSKit can be downloaded off the ACCC FTP Server, or purchased at the Epicenter Bookstore on the East campus or at the Micro/Station on the West campus, as a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM is a hybrid CD-ROM which can be used to install the NSKit on Windows 95/98/NT and Macintosh personal computers. For more information, see the NSKit Web page. |
