What is Attain Objects for Dreamweaver?

Dreamweaver is one of the best Web authoring tools in the market today. Attain Objects for Dreamweaver essentially extends its functionality and visual authoring environment for creating interactive assessment with custom answers.

An "Object" in Dreamweaver represents any commonly used web page element such as an image, a table, a horizontal rule, and more (many more).The Object Pallette is a small window containing many of these Objects. The author needs only to drag an object from the Object Pallette to the location in the page where that object should go, then set any of the appropriate attributes for that object..

Attain Objects for Dreamweaver uses what it calls the "Knowledge Object" to extend the functionality of Dreamweaver into the realm of quiz questions and demonstrations. The Knowledge Object lets you choose from several types of quiz questions and lets you customize your responses through a visual programming design tool.

But more than just quizzes, Attain Objects for Dreamweaver is ideal for creating online learning simulations and demonstrations. It is easy enough that a beginner can create any of the built in question types very quickly, and an enthusiast can create some very involved interactions that would take days of programming by a JavaScript/DHTML expert.

What is Attain Objects for Dreamweaver not good for?

Attain Objects for Dreamweaver is not ideal for quizzes that count. The JavaScript that powers the quizzes and interactions runs on the client computer and all the code is visible (though quite involved). Also, there is no ideal, affordable, out-of-the-box solution for tracking quiz results with Attain Objects for Dreamweaver.
