Copying Formats

Suppose that you have one piece of text with several attribute and font changes. If you want to use those same attributes on another piece of text, you can copy the formats rather than choosing them one by one. In Word, it is called the Format Painter , and it is Quick Format in WordPerfect. In both, you select the text that contains the formats you need, invoke the Format Painter, then click-and-drag over the text that you want to have those formats. Note that the format copying turns off instantly in Word, but you have to turn it off yourself in WordPerfect. Here is an example.

Here is the example after we select the first sentence, click on Format Painter (or QuickFormat), and drag across the second sentence.
