Although correcting spelling errors is usually not considered the biggest feature of a word processor, you may get an argument from many people. Word processors have the ability to check a word that you have typed to see if it is spelled correctly. However, the word processor of today goes far beyond that. Word processors today can flag words it does not recognize as you are typing, and in some cases, even correct the word BEFORE you even know you misspelled it.
