Text can also be set apart by changing its attributes. You can make text bold, underline it, italicize it, or even change its color. Other attributes include strikethrough, small caps, superscript, and subscript. You can highlight text and change its attributes, or you can turn on the attributes before typing the text, making sure you turn them off when you are done. Some of the more popular attributes are shown below:

The entire list of attributes in a word processor is located in different spots, depending on the word processor. In Word and WordPerfect, you go to the Format|Font menu.
