Applied Piano, Asst. Conductor/Accompanist  Ivana Bukvich received the Bachelors Degree at Belgrade University of Arts, and holds a Master's Degree from Indiana University where she studied with Professor A. Toradze. Her performances highlights include Edinburgh (Scotland) Music Festival, “White nights” Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Rotterdam Phillips Gergiev Music Festival, Mikkeli Music Festival in Finland and Milan, Italy, Chicago's Ravinia Rising Stars Concert Series and Myra Hess Series. Ms. Bukvich has also made numerous television and radio appearances in Yugoslavia, and most recently on WFMT-Chicago. In addition to her work at UIC, she serves as head of the Piano Department at the Sherwood Conservatory of Music in Chicago, and an active accompanist and chamber musician in the Chicago area. |
