Private Studio: Percussion  Joel Cohen has spent most of his life playing and teaching percussion. He is a native Chicagoan, now living in Skokie, IL. He has played with virtually every concert group in Chicago, and almost all that come through Chicago. Highlights of his career include: playing in the Chicago premiere of Takemitsu’s “From Me Flows What You Call Time,” sitting in with the Dave Brubeck Quartet, and the Vine “Symphony for Percussion and Orchestra” with the Grant Park Orchestra. Joel is married to Linda Haase and they have a daughter who is about ready to go to college.
