Music Theory, Trumpet, Music Librarian  Hai Tao Huang is a trumpet teacher and music theory instructor in the Department of Performing Arts. He also maintains the score library. At UIC, he is the coach of the trumpet section for the Concert Band. In addition, he performs with the Chicago Philharmonia. He has participated in the Philadelphia Orchestra Institute for Brass Studies under David Bilger. He played with the Guangzhou Philharmonic and played for many years with the Chinese military, where his ensemble greeted foreign dignitaries. He has performed as a soloist at the Manhattan Arts Center in Manhattan, KS and with the Manhattan City Band. He received his education at the Performing Arts Institute of the People's Liberation Army in Beijing, China. |
