Lecturer ![]() Neal McCollam is the Events Administrator for UIC's Department of Performing
Arts. In addition to managing the UIC Theatre, Mr. McCollam teaches
an interdisciplinary arts class for UIC's College of Architecture and
the Arts summer bridge program and Fundamentals of Acting for the Department
of Performing Arts. He currently teaches acting at the Ruth Page Center
for Performing Arts. He has acted in productions with The Chicago Civic
Ballet, European Repertory Theatre, Pegasus Players and Shakespeare's
Motley Crew. His directing credits include, Someone Who'll Watch Over
Me, by Frank McGuinness for Pocket Aces Theatre, Broken Glass and All
My Sons by Arthur Miller at the UIC Theatre, The UIC Scholarship Show,
A Tale of Great Cities, and a performance piece at the Chicago Cultural
Center, featuring the Russian avant-garde poetry and plays of Vladimir
Mayakovsky. He has participated in acting and directing workshops at
the National Theatre of Great Britain and the Moscow Art Theatre, and
received his M. A. in Theatre from the University of Illinois at Chicago. |
