Auditions

Fall 2009 auditions will begin Aug. 19, 2009 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. They will continue through the first two weeks of the term. There are no auditions on Friday, August 21, 2009.

Who
  • To sing with The UIC Choirs ALL singers, every year, have do an audition. If you are new, remember that you must have 1) basic music reading skills, and 2) previous choral experience.
  • If you do not meet these criteria, it is suggested that you take MUS107 (Music Fundamentals for Non-Majors) before your audition. Tel +1(312)355-2434

  • Auditions include (15-20 minutes)
    • Short music understanding quiz
    • Listening to range and timbre of voice
    • Pitch matching
    • Sight reading
    • Brief discussion about past experience
How
Where
  • Once your adition date and time are set, come by the Office of The UIC Choirs (Rm. L220, EPASW).
  • If you cannot come to campus on the dates above, please contact Zach Speer, Manager of The UIC Choirs, who will arrange a date and time.
