Lake Affects (2009)

Lake Affects, a 12-16 member group, is a student-run, a cappella choir associated with UIC’s Department of Performing Arts. Meeting two times a week, Lake Affects prepares a variety of music in the vocal jazz genre.

Prerequisites for this ensemble are to be enrolled in one of the “for credit” choirs (see above), be able to read music, and have vocal jazz experience. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester and are subject to space available. Rehearsal times are announced at the beginning of each term and are based on singer’s schedules.

Rehearses M & Th 5:30-7:30 p.m.,
