The
UIC Theatre offers four mainstage productions each year, under the
direction of faculty and guest directors from Chicago theatre
companies. All productions are courses (THTR 280) and are open to all
registered UIC students. Course credit is also available in set or
costume construction, lighting, sound, or public relations (THTR 281,
282, 283).
Auditions for STUDIO productions are held at various times during the year. They are directed by graduate or undergraduate students and do not offer course credit. Scripts may be checked out in the Box Office (room L282, EPASW building). The UIC Theatre Program ignores ethnicity when casting productions. Notices for auditions are posted on the bulletin board next to the Box Office. For more information, call the Box Office, (312) 996-3991.
