The Music curriculum includes theory, history, ear-training, and performance skills. Elective areas of concentration include performance, composition, orchestration, literature, and ethnomusicology. Music students participate in performance ensembles including The UIC Choirs, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, and several chamber music groups.

The Theatre curriculum emphasizes a balance between practice and theory from originating impulse or idea to relation. All students participate in production programs including a Main Season of theatre.

UIC Performing Arts faculty and teaching staff hold national and international credentials as artists, teachers, and/or scholars. For more information, contact us at the address below.
