Parking, Maps, Directions
The Midwest
Mesoamericanist Meeting will take place on UIC's East Campus, in
Lecture Centers B and D. The Saturday night party will be held at Joel
Palka's house in nearby Oak Park.
Parking
There are three parking lots on the UIC Campus that are adjacent to
the locations of the Friday and Saturday
presentations. The weekend rate is $7/day, with similar fees for Friday
night. Bring cash.
The closest is the Halsted Street Parking Structure, located at
Halsted and Taylor Sts., with the entrance on Taylor St.
Slightly north, you can park in Lot 9 (Morgan and Harrison
Sts., entrance on Morgan) or in the Harrison Street Parking Structure
(between Morgan and Racine).

We have created a Google Map to show locations of Lecture Centers,
Parking lots, and Joel Palka's House (site of Saturday night party).
In

Directions
Saturday night party: Joel Palka's house is conveniently located within
a few blocks of I-290, about a 20 minute drive from UIC.

Clinton Ave., Oak Park, IL 60304. Cell: 708-602-0154.
By car, take I-290 W from UIC (Racine Ave. entrance) to Harlem Ave. Go
left/south on Harlem for 1 block to the 1st stoplight, Garfield St.
Turn left/east on Garfield for 5 blocks to Clinton Ave, which is 1
block past the Home Ave. stop sign. Take a right on Clinton, go almost
1 block south to find 939 S. Clinton on your right. Park on the street. |
