BioE is now accepting applications for Tuition and Fee Waiver for Fall 2009 semester. The Graduate College granted our department 7 tuition and fee waivers for Bioengineering and 1 tuition and fee waiver for Bioinformatics . If you are interested to be considered to receive this award, please send me your application through email at mgoluch @ uic.edu.

State your name, University ID Number (UIN), current GPA (undergrad GPA for new students), the degree you are seeking (MS/ PhD), how long you have been in your current program, advisor's name, and a brief statement of why you are in need of a tuition and fee waiver.

Should you receive the award, you must be in good academic standing, must register for 12 or more hours by the 10th day of the term, and maintain registration in 12 or more hours throughout the term.

Students who already have financial aid through fellowship, scholarship, or assistantship are NOT eligible to receive this award. Please note that Graduate College BOT tuition and fee waiver only covers tuition, service fee, and engineering differential.

Deadline for submission of application is on Monday, August 3, 2009 at 12:00 noon. Late applications will not be accepted. Kindly specify in your application whether you belong to the Bioengineering or Bioinformatics program.
