Laboratory work by Dr. Rousche
occurs in two separate laboraties on UIC's main campus in downtown
Chicago. On the East side, Dr. Rousche maintains the Neural
Engineering Device Development Laboratory. Located
near UIC's Class-100 cleanroom facility, this laboratory is
used for device manufacturing and benchtop and/or in vitro characterization
acitivities, including electrical impedance spectroscopy and
mechanical evaluation. On UIC's west (medical) campus, Dr. Rousche
maintains the Neural Engineering Applications Laboratory
in space provided by the Department of Neurosurgery. Located
near the main university animal facility, this laboratory is
used for in vivo evaluation of electrode designs.
