Admissions
Admission to the Bachelor of Science program in the
Department of Bioengineering is granted to qualifying students after submitting
an application to the University
Office of Admissions & Records.
Undergraduate admission requirements for high school students are set
by the College
of Engineering. An ACT score of at least 24 and a class standing
in the upper 20 percent are recommended, as are four years of mathematics
and one year of chemistry, biology, and physics.
Outstanding applicants may also qualify for the
UIC Honors College. Bioengineering undergraduate
students may participate in the GPPA program of early admission to UIC
graduate and professional colleges, including the colleges of Dentistry,
engineering, Health and Human Development Sciences, Medicine and Pharmacy.
