Science Learning Center Website
The Science Learning Center is a meeting place for students in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Physics. At the SLC, students can meet with graduate teaching assistants for tutoring in 100-level courses, arrange informal group study sessions with other students, or meet up with friends to attend one of the workshops, seminars, or other activities sponsored by the SLC during the semester.
The SLC also sponsors study groups led by students with experience in a particular subject area. While study groups are focused on specific undergraduate science courses, that are also designed to help improve general study skills and problem-solving techniques.
The Center is in newly-renovated space in SEL, where many of the science classes are taught. It houses computers and e-mail stations for student use; a computer consultant is available at the reception desk. With its central location near Bunsen's Café, the Science Learning Center is a perfect spot to relax, study, and discuss your questions and ideas about science.
