Exhibits

Do you love creating art? Then come to the second annual Art Fest – an opportunity for students to create artwork to be featured in the Montgomery Ward Gallery. Canvas, paint, and brushes will be provided to students who sign up. Previous experience and/or coursework is not necessary to participate.

Sign up in the Campus Programs office in Student Center East, 750 S. Halsted St., Room 340.

Sign ups will take place March 17 – March 21 from 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM.
Art must be created between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM in the Campus Programs conference rooms during March 31 – April 4 only.

During the gallery opening reception votes will be tallied for the “Best Painting” and prizes will be given out to our top three artists! Paintings will be evaluated based on these criteria:
1. Educational Value
Does the artwork inform and educate the community?
Does the artwork bring insight to cultural, historical, or social issues?

2. Quality
Does the artwork demonstrate excellence in originality, creativity, and imagination?

3. Audience Appeal
Is the artwork appealing and relevant to our community?
