Events And Calendar

Learning takes place both within and beyond the classroom at UIC. To enhance your learning experience, many chapters plan educational programs during the year designed to broaden the educational purpose of sororities. The Greek governing councils and the Office of Greek Life sponsors a wealth of programs to meet your educational, cultural, recreational, social, and developmental needs.

UIC's Greek Life Programming includes:

LEADership- Series of workshops centering on the learning, exploration, achievement and development of the individual and chapters towards success on campus

Meet the Greeks- Festival open to the campus as a celebration of UIC's Greek community featuring information tables, food and games

IFC Recruitment- Series of presentations designed to highlight the member chapters of the Interfraternity council

Panhellenic Recruitment- Series of presentations designed to highlight the member chapters of UIC Panhellenic council.

NPHC Convocation- Event that highlights the culture and members of the National PanHellenic Council

NALFO Open House- Event showcasing the members of UIC's National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations.

The Ritual- Event that presents the members of the GPAAC; Greeks of the Pan-Asian American Council, their values and principles

National Anti-Hazing Week- Series of events and designed to promote awareness of methods to prevent hazing in fraternities and sororities, sports teams and other social groups

New Member Institute- Interactive workshop for new members to connect with other new members of the Greek community

Advisor Reception- Roundtable event to connect the advisors of the UIC's Greek community to support the growth and advancement of our chapters

Greek Week- Series of competitions promoting fellowship and camaraderie between the Inter-fraternity Council and the Panhellenic Council

Greek Awards/Grand Chapter- Concluding awards event commemorating the achievements of the Greek community
