Spark in the Park is a FREE private event is open only to UIC students, staff, and faculty. There are no tickets on sale for this event. A valid UIC i-card is required for entry.

YOU COULD BE THE OPENING ACT FOR SPARK IN THE PARK 2013!!!

We're looking for a UIC student musical act to open for Spark in the Park! The opening act will perform for 45-60 minutes on stage in front of a captive UIC audience. As part of the entertainment for Spark in the Park, the opening act will be promoted alongside the other musical talent scheduled to perform during the music festival. The opening act will also receive payment of $500 for their performance!

Opening Act Submission Requirements:

• Act must consist of current UIC STUDENTS ONLY. Performers must be registered for classes for Fall 2013.
• Act must be musical in nature (DJ, Band, Singer, etc.)
• Act must submit links for 5 songs (1 of which must be video). You can submit links from posting sites, i.e. YouTube or from your own website and provide directions for viewing/listening.

5 acts will be selected from all qualifying submissions and posted for voting in June. (Only selected acts will be notified). ONE ACT WILL BE CHOSEN VIA UIC STUDENT VOTE TO PERFORM AT SPARK IN THE PARK 2013!

No phone calls, e-mails, "snail mail" accepted.

SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 5:00 PM ON MAY 17, 2013.
