Leadership Illinois

Leadership Illinois is built around a core of three critical topics: Power of Government, Power of the Individual, and Power of the Marketplace. Unlike many other programs, these topics are not treated as single units. Instead, the sessions are interconnected by the focus on leadership and the opportunities for leaders to make positive change. Presentations emphasize discussion, not lecture. The caliber of the participants and the diversity of their experiences lead to discussions more dynamic than those found in most development opportunities. The fact that participants move through each of the sessions as a group makes each topic a building block for the next. Rounding off each conference are opportunities for "behind the scenes" tours of significant projects, facilities, or exhibits.

The spring conference in Bloomington highlights ethics, responsibility, and choices-topics fundamental to an understanding of leadership and power. The conference features presentations by leaders from the private and public sector and individuals who have made a difference in improving the quality of life in their communities.
