Our Mission:

The Academic Professional Sub-committee addresses issues of interest to women academic professionals at UIC, including opportunities for professional growth and career advancement and discussion of common concerns across the campus.
 
Task Forces

The Committee has two active Task Force groups; the AP Status and Mentorship. Any CCSW member who is interested in either area is welcome to join either or both groups. Contact one of the co-Chairs for information on meeting dates and activities.
 
AP Status

• Develop AP needs assessment (review faculty climate survey)
• Create draft of issues/concerns that we can bring to next larger CCSW meeting with Chancellor/Provost in Fall term
• Identify resources/funding to implement study, targeting the following:
• AP job Classification/titles
• Salary Equity
• General AP Demographics
• Job Satisfaction
• Work/University Culture for AP's
• Professional Development
• East/West Campus issues
• Status of Women in all of the above areas
  

Mentorship Program

Study development and implementation of faculty mentoring program
Target people and resources/funding for broad-based AP mentoring program
