The Minority Women Concerns subcommittee addresses issues of particular concern to women of color. Its areas of focus include promoting and supporting research and evaluation intended to improve the status of women of color; helping to create a university climate that will help women of color to realize their educational and professional goals; and recommending changes in campus policy to assure the inclusion of women of color.

Approximately 20 women and 1 man attended this event as part of our group and everyone had a great time! We may look at planning additional networking events off campus in the future. In addition to meeting other UIC personell we also met other professionals who were at Donna's Cafe enjoying live jazz.
