Martin Luther King Day
Martin Luther King Celebration is an annual event commemorating the life work of Dr. Martin Luther King. This celebration takes place in mid-January each year and is co-sponsored by Campus Programs, Agape House and the United Campus Ministry of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Past events have included academic lectures by Michael Eric Dyson, children’s performances by Oba William King on the life of Martin Luther King, and prayer service breakfasts with panel discussions on the relevance of Dr. King’s message in today’s world.
