Undergraduate Program
Chemical Engineers are active in many industries. These industries include, but are not limited to, the petroleum, pharmaceutical, and food industries. UIC prepares men and women for success in these and other industries.
The chemical engineering department offers a solid core curriculum that consists of 12 courses directly related to chemical engineering. The department also requires at least one technical elective course. There are nine possible courses to choose from for the technical elective requirement.
