The UIC Office of Conferences and Institutes (C&I) is a campus-level academic support unit that provides complimentary consultation, along with a comprehensive range of services, to assist UIC conference organizers in the conceptualization, planning, and management of academic conferences—on campus, and at other locations in the city, the nation, and abroad. In addition to expertise and experience in all levels of conference planning and management, C&I offers the knowledge and skills required to accomplish the related work within the University’s complex academic and business environment.

C&I can be called upon to advise individuals or units on general conference planning and management issues and/or to directly assist with specific projects. The nature and level of C&I involvement in an individual project can range from complimentary consultation to shared responsibility on a negotiated fee-for-service basis.

Regardless of level of service requested, conference organizers are encouraged to contact C&I at the beginning of their planning efforts to maximize the value of C&I assistance.
