Distinguished researcher and national leader in the field of political communication. Her current research focuses on multi-faceted investigations of the audio-visual content and political impact of television newscasts broadcast over the air, on cable, and on the Internet. Experimental research on mass media information processing, based on brain physiology and behavioral data. Continuing research on the effects of mass media information on political learning, public opinion, election politics, political institutions and public policy. Analyses of the impact of the World Wide Web on politics. Analyses of organizational communication in the public sector, especially in administrative agencies.
