Bruce Lambert, Professor, Pharmacy Administration, Adjunct Faculty
Bruce Lambert does research on discourse processes, message behavior, and health care communication issues and research. He has conducted studies on chronic illness and self-image/identity, provider-patient and provider-provider interaction, and patient adherence and safety. His methods include computer-assisted content analysis, text categorization and clustering, machine learning, and data mining. He is a consultant for industry and government on issues relating to drug name confusion errors and has served as an expert witness in trademark litigation. He is editorial board member of the journals Health Communication and Communication Theory, and he has been a referee for Human Communication Research, among other journals. He served on the U.S. Pharmacopeia Consumer Interest and Health Education Advisory Panel and was a special government employee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
