Editor of Design Discourse, co-editor of Discovering Design and The Idea of Design. Currently working on a world history of design. UIC University Scholar and Award for Excellence in Teaching, Silver Circle. Visiting professor at University of Technology, Sydney; American University in Beirut, National University of Mexico, Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and other institutions. Director of the Museum of Corntemporary Art.
